City invests $300,000 to upgrade U.S. 19 sewer transmission line

Monticello officials recently entered an agreement with Mittauer and Associates Inc., Consultant Engineers, for the design phase of the upgrade of the sanitary sewer system along the U.S. 19 corridor from the city to the interstate.
The Monticello City Council approved the contract with Mittauer and Associates on Tuesday evening, Dec. 4, agreeing to pay the firm $300,000 for the work, which money is coming from a Florida Department of Commerce (FDOC) grant.
