City manager remains in jail, investigation ongoing

Monticello City Manager Kurt Mackiewicz remained in the county jail as of Monday, May 25, while the investigation into his alleged possession of child pornography continued. Mackiewicz was arrested on Tuesday, May 19, and charged with 10 counts of possession or promotion of certain images of child pornography, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCS
