Claude Watson, age 91, of Moultrie, GA passed away July 5, 2018 at his home. He was the son of the late Johnnie Frank Watson and Georgia Herndon Watson. He was born in Taylor County, Florida on November 1, 1926. He resided most of his life in Jefferson County, Florida and retired from the Division of Forestry as a forest ranger.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Agnus Reams Watson; his sister, Shelly Watson Pope; his brother, Robert Watson; his grandchild, Michael Watson and his great-grandchild, Wynter Lachelle Brown.
He is survived by two sons, Ben Watson (Robin) and Joe Watson, both of Moultrie, GA; his daughter, Claudene Hall (Robert), of Monticello; his 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was a gentle soul that loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and Molly, his family dog. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him and loved him.
Services were handled by Beggs Funeral Home, Monticello with a visitation on Tuesday July 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was held at at Oakfield Cemetery, Monticello.
