Clearly not a win
Dear Commissioners,
I express my concerns again in regard to the Solar Ordinance in the upcoming agenda.
Let's say you pass this ordinance and win the legal challenge in the court of law. What have you really won?
THE POWER COMPANIES ARE OUR ESSENTIAL PROVIDERS.
They are going to still develop solar facilities, but the "over-the-top" regulations will drive their costs up. Those costs are NOT entirely absorbed by the regulated power companies, they are passed on to the consumers... JEFFERSON COUNTY CITIZENS.
So, if you do pass the ordinance and you win in court after most likely being sued, what have you won? All that has been won is a higher electric bill for Jefferson County residents
