Clerk’s office gets more state funding, installs new accounting software

Interim Clerk of Court Jason Welty had some good news to report to county officials recently, in terms of the state budget that helps support a part of his operation. Welty told the Jefferson County Commission on Thursday morning, March 7, that the Florida Clerk of Court Operations Corporation (FLCOC) and clerks across the state had been successful in getting a piece of legislation passed in the current session that will redirect funds from the state general’s funds to clerk operations statewide. “So, we should see some increase in our courtside budget,” Welty said. Welty had earlier explained to the News that the bulk of clerks’ revenues com
