Clifford Ray Hewett, 81, passed away on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022. Cliff was born in Edison, Ga., and moved to Tallahassee after serving in the U.S. Air Force. He later moved to Jefferson County, where he made his home for the last 54 years. He worked as a master electrician for several local companies before transferring to the Jefferson County School System, where he served as electrician and maintenance specialist until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Hewett; three brothers, Frank, Elbert and Bill; and a sister, Ruby. He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Timothy and Travis; daughter-in-law, Tricia; four awesome grandchildren, Mason, Dylan, Logan and Abigail; a brother, Bennie; three sisters, Mildred, Annette, and Pearl; and a sister-in-law, Violet.
He was a man who loved the Lord and was a charter member of Capital Heights Baptist Church in Tallahassee. Cliff loved to travel and spend time with his family. He also was an avid FSU fan, loved Snoopy, and enjoyed Coca-Cola and Moon Pies.
Graveside services were held at Oakfield Cemetery in Jefferson County at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 22. Beggs Funeral Home, in Monticello, Fla., assisted the family.
