Clyde Harold Malloy, 84, passed away on Oct. 7, 2021, in Monticello, Fla. He was born Feb. 5, 1937, in Monticello, the son of Woodroe and Adel (Brumbley) Malloy.
He graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1955, was an Army Veteran, worked for the City of Monticello for thirteen years, was self-employed for forty years and then retired. He loved to work and help people and enjoyed visiting and talking with people. He had a passion for restoring old vehicles and working in the yard, and his favorite sport was football.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his first wife, Dolly. He leaves behind Elsie, his cherished wife of forty-seven years; son, Harold Malloy; stepsons: Todd and Ray Nichols; daughter, Dionne Malloy; grandchildren: Mike and Maghan Johnson; Austin and Morgan Malloy; and Rob, Dustin, and Ashli Roberts; two great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Roddenberry (N.J.); brother-in-law, Otis Tinnell (Eloise); cousins, other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Roseland Cemetery, East Madison Street, Monticello. Those who wish to remember Clyde in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308-5428.
