Collins argues against state’s request for disqualification

Attorney David Collins, who is representing former Clerk of Court Kirk Reams against charges of grand theft and organized scheme to defraud, is asking the court to deny a state’s motion to have his firm disqualified from providing the defense.
In the state’s Nov. 13 motion to disqualify, State Attorney Jack Campbell essentially argued, among other things, that Collins should be disqualified from representing Reams because the former might have to testify as a witness in the case.
