County commissioners recently held the second of a series of planned budget workshops, this latest focusing on the operations of road maintenance, fire protection, emergency medical services, solid waste collection, and animal control.
Thus far, according to the report that Budget Officer Gus Rojas provided the Jefferson County Commission via County Manager Shannon Metty on Thursday morning, April 4, the county is doing well financially.
“Everybody’s looking like they're on track,” Metty said. “We don't have any weird random expenses and we look like we're going to stay in budget.”
