Commissioners dedicate part of Wacissa River Park to late colleague

The Jefferson County Commission recently paid tribute to one of its own, adopting a resolution in recognition of the late Commissioner Stephen Wayne Walker and his abiding contributions to the community.
Resolution 2023-61, which the commission adopted on Thursday evening, Dec. 7, described Walker as a man of strong character, a caring disposition, and high ethical standards, whose leadership exhibited professionalism and a deep understanding of the issues.
