What goes around seems to eventually come around.
There was a time in the 1980s and early 90s when the Jefferson County Commission held only morning meetings, on the first and third Thursdays of each month.
Then a group of citizens complained that their jobs prevented them from attending and participating in daytime meetings, and the board changed its policy to include one evening meeting per month.In a bow to the citizens, the board also agreed to reserve the potentially controversial topics for the evening meetings so as to allow for citizen input.
