Community Holy Week services start Monday

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. In the calendar of Christian observances, Holy Week falls between Palm Sunday and Easter. It's a time to commemorate Jesus' last days on earth. Worship services during this week retell the stories of Christ's entrance to the City of Jerusalem, the Last Supper, betrayal and cruxifixion, leading up to celebration of the resurrection. In Monticello during Holy Week, members of various churches come together for five special midday services, with a different local pastor speaking each day, followed by a simple lunch.
