Community organizations partner up to build ramps

On Monday, Nov. 20, the Monticello Chamber of Commerce Junior Leadership Academy joined forces with the Monticello Kiwanis Club and FL Cares in the efforts of building half steps for a Jefferson County resident who had been having difficulty accessing her home safely. The Kiwanis Club's mission is to work with local youth in the community to provide positive influences and lasting connections that will benefit them for a bright future. The Monticello-Jefferson Chamber of Commerce's Junior Leadership Academy is comprised of a small group of local juniors and seniors who meet one day a month to work on leadership skills and visit local businesses.
