Our recent Watermelon Festival featured a Convention of States booth on Dogwood Street behind the First Bank. Convention of States? What’s that? It is a way to peacefully improve life in America. Our Constitution has only 7 articles and Article V covers amending our Constitution with Congress proposing amendments or a “Convention of States” proposing amendments without Congress. All 27 amendments have been proposed by Congress. The latter method has never been done.
