Council set to select a new city clerk

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc. Monticello officials expect to appoint a new city clerk and treasurer as soon as Tuesday, Jan. 27. This, at least, is the date that the Monticello City Council has set for a special meeting to select a new clerk, depending on the recommendation of Mayor John Jones and City Manager Kurt Mackiewicz, who are supposed to interview the candidates and make a selection in the interim.
