County allocates $800,000 plus for courthouse repair and restoration

A combined $855,000 in state, local and other funding is going into the needed repairs and overall restoration of the historic courthouse on the circle.
Prompting the Jefferson County Commission’s recent approval of the expenditure was a $375,000 appropriation from the Florida Legislature, in conjunction with another $505,000 from hurricane-related insurance proceeds and wise investment of county funds on the part of the clerk of court’s office.
