County Commission gets new member, plus an official seal

The Jefferson County Commission has a new face and new chairman on the board, as well as an official
county seal prominently displayed on its chamber back wall.
The new face on the board is newly-elected District 1 Commissioner Jessica Lane Gramling, who was sworn into office on Thursday evening, Nov. 21. And the new chair is Commissioner Austin Hosford, who took the gavel from Commissioner J. T. Surles.
The seal, meanwhile, was the parting gift of outgoing Commissioner Chris Tuten, whom Gramling replaced.
