Despite changes to their normal procedures, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will still be holding their regularly-scheduled meeting tonight at 6 p.m.
Due to rulings from President Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis, the BOCC will be conducting virtual – rather than in-person – meetings in order to follow the established public health guidelines set in place during the COVID-19 crisis.
Rather than meeting at the Courthouse Annex, located on Walnut Street, the board will meet virtually through a Zoom meeting.
The Zoom meeting can be accessed from your computer and there will be opportunity to speak directly to the board members at the meeting.
If your computer does not allow you to access Zoom's audio, you will be able to call into the meeting and speak over the telephone to commissioners.
This meeting method has been tested specifically for this meeting and three different test-meetings conducted to ensure that everything will work smoothly.
All the same, the BOCC asks the public to have patience as they do our best to make this meeting happen during these unique times.
