County Comp plan back to drawing board

County officials continue trying to complete the revision of the comprehensive plan, a document that sets the community’s vision 20 years out and that must be reviewed and updated every seven years, putting the local plan, which was last updated in 2012, about five years behind schedule.
The comp plan revisions are largely based on what is called an Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR), which identifies the areas of the comp plan that need updating to reflect the latest changes in state laws and in changed local conditions, among other factors. The commission contracted with The Planning Collaborative (TPC) to do the EAR, which report was submitted
