County funds wildlife center improvements

The North Florida Wildlife Center (NFWC) will receive a small portion of the funds that the county collects annually from its tourist development tax thanks to a grant agreement that the Jefferson County Commission approved recently. Per the agreement, which the board approved  on Thursday evening, March 21, the NFWC will receive a $8,300 grant for construction of wheelchair ramp compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to make the attraction’s gift shop and restrooms accessible to all visitors.
