County gets new Emergency Management director

She is Kristy Anderson, whose appointment the Jefferson County Commission approved on the previous Thursday evening. County Manager Shannon Metty, in her request to the commission for approval of Anderson as emergency management director on Thursday, Aug. 15, referred to the latter as the emergency management director for Taylor County a few years earlier. She described Anderson as being good at planning and having strengths in areas in which Jefferson County needed to improve. “We feel that she will be a good fit and the fact that she worked for a small community like ou
