County gets new medical examiner

Coyne, and a master fee schedule for the medical examiner’s services. The Jefferson County Commission approved the agreement on Thursday morning, April 4, following a brief explanation by County Attorney Heather Encinosa. As Encinosa explained it, since 2022 the county had an agreement with Dr. Jon R. Thogmartin to serve as a substitute medical examiner, as well as having an accompanying master fee schedule.
