County gets new medical examiner

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc. In keeping with state law, Jefferson County now has a new agreement with the Office of Medical Examiner for District Two, a new medical examiner – Dr. Thomas M. Coyne, and a master fee schedule for the medical examiner’s services. The Jefferson County Commission approved the agreement on Thursday morning, April 4, following a brief explanation by County Attorney Heather Encinosa. As Encinosa explained it, since 2022 the county had an agreement with Dr
