County launches its own app

Or so County Manager Shannon Metty informed the Jefferson County Commission recently. The app, she said, had links to the various county departments and their services and resources, as well as general information about the county. She cited the solid waste department as an example. “It shows you where all the garbage collection sites are and it tells you their schedules, which is great because I often don’t know what the hours of operation are,” Metty said.
