County manager resigns

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc. County Manager Shannon Metty this week tendered her resignation, effective June 12, a decision that the Jefferson County Commission accepted immediately and unanimously. Metty’s announcement came at the start of the commission meeting on Thursday evening, Feb. 5, and it undercut the purpose of many who attended the meeting specifically to argue for her removal or retention. Two of her critics said as much when offered an opportunity to address the issue,
