County officials adopt limited parking regulations

As expected, the Jefferson County Commission recently adopted an ordinance setting up a process for the establishment of regulated parking areas within the county, each to be designated by a specific resolution. The ordinance essentially creates a new chapter within the county’s code of ordinances that authorizes the establishment of parking regulations and corresponding fines for violations, among other things.
