County officials adopt limited parking regulations

As expected, the Jefferson County Commission recently adopted an ordinance setting up a process for the establishment of regulated parking areas within the county, each to be designated by a specific resolution.
The ordinance essentially creates a new chapter within the county’s code of ordinances that authorizes the establishment of parking regulations and corresponding fines for violations, among other things.
As explained by Deputy County Attorney Evan Rosenthal, the regulations stem from concerns about the parking issues at the Wacissa River Park, which has seen an increased number of visitors and associated parking problems. Officials see the r
