County readies to repave and widen part of Ashville Highway

Jefferson County officials recently entered an agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the resurfacing and widening of County Road 146, also known as the Ashville Highway.
County commissioners took the action on Thursday evening, Sept. 7, via a resolution that they adopted unanimously.
The agreement calls for the FDOT to contribute an estimated $1,651,786 to the project under its Small County Outreach Program (SCOP), one of several road-assistance programs that the agency administers to help small counties.
