County officials recently approved a resolution authorizing the submission of an application to the state seeking Hurricane Idalia related funds to address several specified hazard mitigation projects here.
The Jefferson County Commission approved the resolution on Thursday morning, May 2, seeking to secure up to $3.8 million in funding from the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) for various projects listed on the local mitigation strategy (LMS).
