County uses opioid funds to combat opioid addiction

Jefferson County officials recently decided to utilize money received from a regional opioid litigation settlement for the purchase of two LifePak 15 monitor/defibrillators for Fire Rescue to use in the diagnosis and treatment of patients experiencing opioid overdoses.
On Thursday evening, June 20, the Jefferson County Commission voted to accept $69,175 in regional opioid litigation settlement funds from the Northwest Florida Health Network (NFHN) for purchase of the equipment.
