County’s road-improvement work continues

Jefferson County continues to pursue bridge and road improvement projects, thanks to the bond money that it secured in 2022 and the beneficence of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). On Thursday, April 18, the Jefferson County Commission approved three contractor services authorizations, identified as CSA-3, CSA-4 and CSA-5. The authorizations dealt with several cost adjustments to roads being paved with the bond money. CSA-3 called for cost adjustments to the final grading and paving services of Peavy and Son Construction, Inc., on three roads for a total cost of $165,212. These three roads were Old Drifton Road, from U.S. 19 to Aucilla
