Cowboy Camp is a week-long equestrian experience, allowing youth the opportunity to learn how to work with and ride horses. However, they will also be able to enjoy other fun camp-activities, including arts and crafts, wood working, swimming and hiking. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
The first week of Cowboy Camp takes place from Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25. The deadline to apply for this week is on Friday, June 11. The second week of Cowboy Camp will take place from Monday, July 26, through Friday, July 30, with a registration deadline of Friday, July 16.
The price for individuals is $200 or $175 for siblings. Camp will begin at 8:15 a.m., with drop off at the Boys Ranch Arena and will conclude at 5:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Camp will conclude each Friday at 12 p.m., at the Boys Ranch Arena, following the event showcase.
Campers are advised to wear long pants and suitable footwear while they ride, as no camper will be allowed to ride in open-toed shoes. Other items for camper to bring include: a swimsuit and a towel, sunscreen, a change of clothes, pants, a water bottle, a hat and closed-toe shoes (boots if possible).
Only 16 spaces are available, so make sure to apply soon! The Florida Sheriff's Boys Ranch is located at 1813 Cecil Webb Pl., in Live Oak.
