Cowboys shut out Tigers

It was a renewal of a long-standing rivalry on Friday, Sept. 29, when the Jefferson County High School Tigers hosted the Madison County High School Cowboys (MCHS). The game was dominated by the Cowboys who left Tiger Stadium with a 51-0 victory.
The contest began with the Cowboys on offense their own 34-yard line. The Cowboys quickly moved down the field and capped the drive off with a 15-yard touchdown. After a successful two-point conversion, the score was 8-0 with 10:14 remaining in the first quarter. The Tigers took over at their own 11-yard line.
