Crash causes power lines to block U.S. 19

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that on Thursday, Sept. 4, at approximately 11:40 a.m., a pick-up truck traveling southbound on U.S. 19 in Lamont, Fla., ran off the road and struck a utility pole. The vehicle continued through the pole and then struck a tree with the front of the vehicle. Downed power lines temporarily blocked southbound lanes of U.S. 19 in Lamont this morning.[/caption
