Cursive writing is making a comeback in Florida schools, per a new law that Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law on April 20 and that went into effect on July 1.
Senate Bill 182 is sweeping legislation that brings many changes to education, including the requirement that students in grades three through five be taught cursive writing, with the stated expectation that the young ones will be able to demonstrate proficiency in the skill by the end of the fift
