David Michael Reams (Mike), 65, of Monticello, passed away on Sept. 27, 2021, in Gainesville, Fla. Mike was born in Monticello, Fla., in 1956 to the late Estelle Tharpe Reams and Carroll Brinson Reams. He was a jack of all trades, from tow truck to dump truck driver, to mechanics and managing the former Big 10 tires, before becoming disabled in 2013 due to liver disease. He loved spending time with his family, grandkids and his dogs, Taz, Buck, Allie and Hank. His hobbies included building four-wheel drives and mud bogging.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sherri Reams; two daughters: Tiffany Reams Campbell (Michael) and Tina Reams, both of Tallahassee; also includes Shannon Wooten and Joni Clenney Rei; sisters: Lisa Harrell, of Silver Springs; Diana Reams and brother Danny Reams (Johanna), both of Crawfordville; two dearly loved grandkids: Jorja Martin and Jaxen Campbell. He was loved by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents: Minnie Lucy Tharpe and Henry Tharpe; his parents: Estelle Tharpe Reams and Carroll Brinson Reams; and his sisters: Darla Jones and Debbie Forton. Lastly his loving pups, Hoss and Bocephus. Mike’s service will be held Friday, Oct. 1, at Beggs Funeral Homes located at 3322 Apalachee Pkwy., in Tallahassee, with visitation starting at 2:30 p.m. and services at 3 p.m.
