On Tuesday, Sept. 28, Jefferson County Narcotics Detectives were patrolling the area of South Salt Road and Blue Lake Road when they observed a green sedan speeding. A traffic stop was conducted and detectives made contact with the driver, Renysha Crummity, of Greenville.
Upon investigation, it was learned that Crummity did not possess a valid driver’s license and had an outstanding Madison County warrant. K-9 Pepe was deployed and alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. Detectives located 42 bags of cocaine and a quantity of synthetic cannabinoids and marijuana. Detectives located over $800 in cash with the narcotics. Crummity was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail. She was charged with: Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids with intent to sell and Possession of marijuana. Her bond was set at $2,500 and she was released after posting bond.
