The North Florida Wildlife Center (NFWC), in Lamont, is currently in urgent need of donations to support their rescued and critically endangered animals.
The NFWC is a non-profit center and depends heavily on visitor tours and donations to remain in operation; the care and upkeep of the animals who have found a safe haven at the center is not a cheap endeavor, and the center has grown to over 50 animals in recent months.
Due to COVID-19 closures, however, the center has been unable to offer tours and as tours are the center's main form of financial support, the center is facing an urgent need.
Thus, the center has reached out via social media, asking their community to help support their cause while COVID-19 continues to restrict the tours and services they can offer.
All donated funds go directly into the care of the animals and upkeep of the facility.
If you'd like to support the NFWC and its mission to protect endangered or exotic animals, donations can be sent to the center's Venmo (nfwctally) or donated directly to the center's Paypal account at paypal.me/nfwctally.
For more information about sponsoring particular animals or purchasing tour gift-certificates to use at a later date, contact the center by calling (850) 347-0921 or emailing nfwctally@gmail.com.
You can also learn more about the center by visiting them on Facebook at facebook.com/nfwctally or by searching for them on Instagram under @NFWCTally.
The NFWC is located at 1386 Cook Rd., in Lamont.
