Domestic altercation leads to manhunt

Submitted by Jefferson County Sheriffs Office On Wednesday, Feb. 19, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded to the area of Bassett Dairy Road and Frank Lacy Road in reference to a physical altercation. Deputies arrived on scene and learned that a man by the name of John Grant had been involved in a domestic altercation and had brandished a firearm, threatening multiple people. Grant left the scene on a golf cart prior to law enforcement’s arrival. Deputies located the golf cart stuck in a field about a half mile from the scene.
