It is a well-known fact that many businesses provide discounted prices for children and students. We may forget, however, that they also offer discounts for seniors, which usually begin around the ages of 50-65, depending on the establishment. It is important to note that, in order to take advantage of these discounts, you often have to ask. Workers often will not give it out automatically, because assuming your age can be considered impolite.
Complied here is a list of some of the most common establishments which offer senior discounts to their patrons, as well as the ages at which these discounts are effective. It is important to note, however, that this list is by no means exhaustive—many other places, including locally, may offer a discount if you speak up and ask! Please bear in mind that this list will not always be applicable, as many discounts offered vary by location, and they are subject to change over time.
