Dorothy Jean Barrington Mosley, 90, of Monticello’s Lloyd Community, finished her earthly course on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021. Mosley was a retired housekeeper and a lifetime member of St. Rilla. She was a superb cook and homemaker who enjoyed traveling and dancing.
Cherishing her love and memory are her daughters: Sharon Mosley Chrishon and Brenda Mosley (Rev. SharRon) Vaughn; grandchildren: Zandra Gilley, Lakiya Chrishon, Pamela (Michael) Steele, Conchita (Darryl) Newman, Marixcia (Lance) Jones, Claude (Latoshia) Hall, Jr., Christian Hall and SharRon Vaughn II; great-grandchildren: Shonn McCloud, Kalexia Miller, Taylor and Morgan Newman, Ace Chrishon Jones, Christopher, Saanti, Saamya and Gregory Roseberry, Jasmine, Janae and Jayla Hall; brother, Verdell (Rosa – deceased) Barrington; son-in-law, Charles Rollins; a nephew who was like a son, Donald (Wanda) Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mosley was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Gilley Rollins; parents, Eddie and Lillie Richardson Barrington; her former husband and father of her children, Benjamin “Ben” Mosley; siblings: Marie B. Garmon, Bessie Thomas, Leroy, Louie, Leo and Frank Barrington.
Graveside funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday in Springfield Cemetery, Lloyd. Viewing is Friday 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Rilla M.B. Church, Monticello. Tillman of Monticello is serving the family.
