Last month, the community of Monticello came alive with spooky, silly and seasonal festivities that seemed to stretch all month long! Here are just a few of the many highlights that kept our small town lively and full of character!
For those of you who attended Ghoul's Night Out on Oct. 28, we don't need to tell you what a great turnout there was! More than 300 ghosts and ghouls took to the streets, enjoying great music, food and shopping in beautiful Downtown Monticello.
Fun isn't just for the grown ups, and on Oct. 30, Mainstreet Monticello hosted the Kid's Candy Crawl, giving over a hundred kids candy as they spent their Saturday trick or treating with downtown merchants in their amazing costumes!
This year's Creepy Cornhole Tournament was also a huge success. 14 teams came out to show their corn-hole skills in an event sponsored by Capital City Bank and Capital City Bank Loans. This event was a real treat for music fans, as the tournament was accompanied by 3 hours of live music by the band, Baby Gray.
Congratulations to the first place winners, Franklin Ferrell and Michael Edenfield, and to second place winners, Sean Gray and Kevin Barnwell.
Aunt Louise's Farm was festive all month long with numerous events made super special with the help of their furry farm friends. October was very busy for the farm, with Fall Farm Days every weekend, pumpkin carving events, birthdays, field trips and trunk or treat fun. If you missed out on the Fall fun in October, don't worry, Fall Farm days will continue each weekend until Nov. 14.
As Monticello winds down from its Halloween craze this October, it is time to look ahead as we gear up for November festivities. Know of a fun fall event taking place in our community this month? Let us spread the news by sending information to Reporter2@ecbpublishing.com!
