Drunk driver flees police

On Saturday, June 8, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) was alerted to a car traveling on I-10 that was suspected of being driven by an intoxicated driver. According to a press release provided from JCSO, deputies were able to locate the vehicle, which was traveling east near the 224-mile marker, and confirmed that the vehicle was being driven in an erratic manner consistent with a possible drunk driver. Despite attempts made to stop the vehicle, the driver began to flee, continuing to drive in an erratic manner for several miles down the Interstate.
