Duke Energy adds $70K to the support for senior center repairs

A severe storm in early April flooded all but one room of the Jefferson Senior Citizens Center (JSCC), causing Category 3 water damage that forced it to temporarily close its doors. The interruption of services affected nearly 50 clients who regularly depend on the daily meals, educational programs, fitness activities, health support and socialization opportunities the center provides.
