Duke to cut rates again in June

Florida Duke Energy customers can expect soon to see decreases in their electric energy bills, making for the second such reduction this year.
The company announced the rate decrease on Monday, April 8, saying that it plans to lower residential electric rates by almost $6 per 1,000 kWh in June, or $5 less than the $11 per 1,000 kWh rate decrease that it implemented in January.
Similarly, the company said that typical commercial and industrial customers would see a bill decrease between 3.5 percent and 7.0 percent, varying based on factors, such as industry type and differences in customer use
patterns.
