ECB Publishing, Inc. is pleased to have Laura Young join the team as a staff writer for the Monticello News and Jefferson County Journal. Her work in journalism, for educational publishers and as a language arts teacher spans 30 years. She enjoys all kinds of writing, from poetry and features to informational and reflective pieces.
Laura and her husband Rick have lived in the county since 1992, raised their child Cam here, and continue to enjoy life in rural North Florida. Laura loves walking through the woods and fields with her two dogs, appreciating nature and learning more every day about the plants and creatures in the area.
Laura worked briefly for the Monticello News back in 1990, and as a reporter here once again, she looks forward to gathering a wide variety of stories to share with the whole community.
