ECB Publishing, Inc. has made QR codes! A QR code is an array of, generally black and white, squares that is used to store information, such as links to websites. The code is made to be read by the camera on a smartphone, using a scanning app, which will then take you to the website indicated. ECB Publishing has created two new QR codes. One to take you to our website and the other to take you to our subscription page!
You may have seen codes such as these on coupons you've gotten or on tables at restaurants. Sometimes, when a business mails or emails you a coupon to a store, it will provide you with a QR code. This can be easily scanned to give you the deal instead of the cashier having to type in a confusing array of numbers and letters. Restaurants will also sometimes use QR codes on their tables, the code taking the user to a website that shows the restaurant's menu. This way, people can easily view the menu on their phones, instead of having to be given a physical menu or having to leave them on the table.
QR codes are meant to save you time and the hassle of having to type out long codes or websites by hand. First, all you have to do with a QR code is have an app on your phone that will scan QR codes, such as QR reader for iPhone in the App Store, then simply open the app and use your camera to scan the code. Very quickly, you will be taken wherever the code was meant to send you.
So, now that ECB Publishing has these QR codes, if you'd like to visit our website or view our subscription page, you can simply scan the provided QR code. Whether it's on a subscription renewal notice or on the newspaper itself, you won't have to worry about painstakingly typing out a lengthy website anymore. If you've got a smartphone, simply scan it and be where you want to be in seconds.
