Edna Mae Nelson, 90, of Live Oak, Fla., passed on Sunday. Graveside service is 11 a.m. in Springfield Cemetery (Casa Bianca Road) in Monticello. Viewing-visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Friday in Monticello at Casa Bianca Missionary Baptist Church.
A Monticello native, Ms. Nelson had lived in Live Oak for the past 15 years. She was a housekeeper, enjoyed fishing and was a longtime member of Casa Bianca. Survivors include: her daughters; Darlene Norton, Teresa (William) Virgil and Aletha “Lisa” Tyson, all of Live Oak, Fla.; son; Ansel Norton Jr. of Monticello; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
