Brian and Louisa Saylor have joined the Elizabeth Baptist Church fellowship. Brian is the new Family and Missions Director. Their first Sunday was April 1, during Easter Morning Worship Service. On Sunday, April 8, a cover dish luncheon was held in their honor, after Morning Worship Service.
This is a historic time for Elizabeth Baptist Church as Brian will be the first person to hold a second full-time staff position at the church. This is a faith-filled and bold move by the church and another new beginning for revitalizing youth, children and family ministries at Elizabeth Baptist Church.
Brian and Louisa have been married for 10-years. They come to Jefferson County from Florence, Kentucky. Brian is a graduate from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, with a Master of Divinity in Church Ministries. He has been on staff at Calvary Baptist Church in Covington since 2014 and also worked at the Golf Exchange. He has experience in education, having coached eight years in high school basketball, soccer and golf. In his free time he enjoys reading, watching sports and hanging out with students.
Louisa taught fourth grade at an inner-city school in Cincinnati. She was involved in the music ministry at their church up north, singing and playing the piano. She is very much looking forward to working with the girls at Elizabeth Baptist Church.
“On behalf of Louisa and myself, we want to thank our new church family for the amazing response to help us move to Monticello over the past few weeks,” says Brian. “The amount of people to help us unload the moving trucks was nothing short of miraculous. We were unloaded, beds and piano assembled, and kitchen unpacked in approximately an hour. We also would like to thank everyone for the food that was brought to our home, as well as the cards, notes and gift cards/monetary gifts that were sacrificially given to us on Easter Sunday. I can honestly say that this has been the easiest transition that I could have ever imagined because of the spirit of Elizabeth Baptist Church. We are excited to be at home here, and look forward to serving however we can. I am praying that we can all partner together to do great things for our Savior, Jesus Christ.”
