Elizabeth Baptist Church (EBC) will be following a modified schedule for the next several weeks due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Members of the church congregation will receive emailed links to Rev. Sammy Hiers’ Sunday morning and Wednesday evening sermons.
The emailed links will allow church members to directly access the recorded Facebook Live videos taken of the sermon and service at EBC; this will allow church members to enjoy God’s word at home and at their leisure.
The Sunday morning worship services will be broadcast from the church, as the latest state directives the church leaders are discouraging attendance to the service. So Congregation members are asked to simply enjoy the sermon from the social-distancing-safety of their own homes.
Youth Ministry Pastor Brian Saylor will continue his work with the church youth as he has been doing.
The church office will continue its hours of operation, from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday.
For more information about the church and its services and programs, call the office at (850) 997-8444 or Rev. Hiers at (850) 464-7463.
There are several pre-recorded church sermons listed on the EBC website as well, at ebcmonticello.com.
All other church activities have been postponed until a later time. The plan is to resume regular services and activities on April 26; the church may postpone these activities depending on the current crisis state.
Offerings may be mailed to the church at 4124 Bassett Dairy Rd., Monticello, Fla. 32344 or contact the church for alternative means of taking care of this. Please keep in mind that church financial obligations continue even during a disruptive time as this.
