An Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA) alumna announced last month that she continued her softball career this summer with a professional team in Florida. Monticello native Elizabeth Hightower announced on June 15 that her second professional softball season was beginning with Florida Vibe, a women's professional fastpitch organization. Hightower signed with the team on Jan. 20, 2024, after getting their attention in December 2023. “I was so happy that God opened the doors to give me another shot at a pro career I didn't think I was going to get,” Hightower said. “This has been the most fun opportu
