Ella Jo Bilinski Bebeau passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at her home in Decatur, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Blanche Bilinski of Monticello, Fla., and her husband, Edmond Paul Bebeau. Ella Jo was born in Dothan, Ala., on Feb. 9, l936.
Ella Jo moved to Monticello in 1944 and graduated from Jefferson County High School in l954. She was the Valedictorian of her class. She was instrumental in starting the Majorette Corp. She was the head majorette for four years, and often twirled two fire batons during half- time.
Ella Jo received a degree from Florida State University in 1958 in English and speech therapy. She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and president of the Florida State Newman Club, a student Catholic organization.
Ella Jo and Ed moved to Decatur, Ga., and raised three children, Bo Bebeau (Carol) of Big Canoe, Ga., Leo Bebeau of Apalachicola, Fla., and Lianna Jones of Decatur, Ga.
She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is survived by one brother, Max Bilinski and his wife, Sharon, of Monticello, Fla. She will be interred at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Jefferson County, Friday, March 12, at 2 p.m.
